I am so lucky to have found Thavy! I have been working with her for over a year now and she has gone above and beyond as a trainer. I have scoliosis and instead of just giving me a generic workout , she took the time to do extra research, understand my specific limitations, and build a program thats safe and effective. Anytime she introduces a new exercise she offers me several modifications and checks in the next day to see if anything hurts. I have noticed significant improvements in my strength and my confidence in the gym and an elimination of my back pain. I had nagging back pain, as well as a stiff back in the morning, for years and within the first few sessions both were resolved. She also helped me rehab my knee after surgery (supplementing my physical therapy). I have trained with Thavy for over a year now. My stamina, strength and power has improved 10 fold. She focuses on fundamentals and proper form – much needed while training in gym because once you get the skill right, you can push for intensity. I am a retired college professor, almost 69, and I have been exercising with Thavy in one-on-one sessions for several years. Thavy is fantastic at listening. This year I broke my wrist when I tripped at home. Instead of stopping my exercise for months, once it was deemed safe by my doctor, Thavy and I worked together on exercises that would keep my core, back and lower body strong while my wrist was healing . I’ve been training with Thavy for about a year now. Before I started with her, I did not have any experience/knowledge in strength training, only from watching DVDs at home. Thavy is very patient and extremely knowledgeable, she explains techniques to me in words that I would actually understand. I used to get sciatic pain on my lower right back/hip area & after just a couple of months of training with Thavy, I no longer have issues. I have been training with Thavy for nearly 3 years. One year ago, my training had to take a back seat when I had a major neurosurgery. After physical therapy, Thavy was my safe place to return to fitness! She is skilled at teaching different fitness levels at the same time; she helps me know when to push and when to hold back. She helps me understand how my muscles work together, so suddenly exercises that were difficult or would hurt my back, I can perform safely. Overall, my muscles are stronger, my neck, shoulders and back hurt less, and my functional movement foundation gives me the skills to enjoy other activities (rock climbing, tag with my kids, etc.).
